Frontier Airlines knows
that pets are no less than a family. So they allow passengers to travel with
their pets and carry them on board. The airline has a few rules and policies
though. If you want to carry your pet then you should know these important
things.
- The airline permits passengers to carry only
domesticated dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and small
household birds on flights within the United States.
- Passengers cannot bring reptiles, arachnids, lions,
tigers or bears.
- A fee of $99 will apply for one-way flight
which needs to be paid during booking or at check-in.
- Pets can be carried on all domestic flights and on
international flights to/from the Dominican Republic and Mexico.
- Passengers can carry pets in the cabin but cannot sit
in first row or the exit row.
- The pet needs to stay inside the container all time
during flight.
- The pet should be harmless, odorless, and should
require no attention.

- The pet container should not exceed the dimension of
18" length x 14" width x 8" height.
- It should be large enough for the pet to stand, turn
and lay in their natural position.
- The pet carrier should also fit under the passenger’s
seat.
- Passengers can carry a personal item, and a carry-on
bag with pet container. A charge may apply for carry-on bag.
- The container will not be considered as checked
baggage.
Documents
- The airline does not require a death certificate for
the pet for domestic flights within the U.S.
- However a certificate may be required in the arrival
state.
- A health certificate is required for international
flights.
- You might also need to carry vaccination certificates.
